[Were We Friends of Light?!]
First things first: This photo is NOT the result of a photoshop action. Photoshop was only used minimally to adjust levels and color balance. <--- sorry, just had to get it out of my system! ^^"
----------
Pieces in this series:
----------
This experimental shot is a combination of two analogue (with minor photoshoping) artifact inducing techniques:
1) Long exposure with multiple flash firings.
2) The "Parabolic Sprinkles" technique (similar to [link]) which is as follows :
Simple really! Load any old photo you have on a computer screen, and then take a shot of the screen with a close up lens, a jelled flash, and a polarizer filter on the lens. Smudge the screen a bit and experiment with different flash angles, and maybe even add a bit of cigarette smoke for some extra artifacts.
----------
Shot taken at the "Friends of Light" photography club's yearly Ramadan gathering in Riyadh. The freaky dude that appears to be walking sideways ten thousand times is Faisal AlDekhayyil.
----------
* Camera: Nikon D90 + 18-105mm kit lens + close up filter (+5) + orange flash jell + adjustable polarization filter.
